The European Studies Program of Ateneo de Manila University is the only multidisciplinary academic institution in the Philippines that brings together scholars and specialists in European affairs. Students who enroll in its graduate program will have the opportunity to learn from faculty members with expertise on European and Southeast Asian regional issues. The skills and knowledge they obtain is beneficial for careers in academia, international organizations, national administrations, civil society, and multinational corporations.
The Program is interdisciplinary, providing students with the opportunity to work with academics and practitioners from different disciplines. Its undergraduate and graduate curricula are benchmarked internationally, and the Program has gained international recognition through its receipt of a Jean Monnet grant from the European Union. Its contributions to the teaching of European Studies has allowed it to build up a network of partner universities from all over the world.
The European Studies Program offers both an AB European Studies undergraduate degree and a Minor in European Studies. Students who complete the degree typically earn additional certificates in their chosen specialization—either International Relations or Business and Economics—as well as a certificate recognizing their proficiency in a European language.
